*Understand the engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly and welding operations
Take accurate measurements and make calculations to complete the job - Lay out and position parts and assemblies according to the specifications
- Weld components and assemblies using welding equipment
- Test the welded surfaces for tolerance, weld quality and conformance to specifications
- Fabricate based on the specifications and drawings using hand tools, machine tools and welding equipment
