Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations in the aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling production processes to ensure that products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation and workflow efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse team of production staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, implementing quality control measures to maintain product integrity.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement, recommending and implementing solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Budget Management: Monitor production costs and ensure adherence to budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless production processes.
- Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence and report on production status to senior management.
- Training and Development: Develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, ensuring adherence to safety and operational protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience (5+ years) in production management within the aerospace industry or a similar high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards (e.g., AS9100).
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage teams.
- Proficient in production planning software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
