Job Purpose:
As an IT Infrastructure Executive, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure its smooth operation and optimal performance. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management, troubleshooting, and support of various IT systems, networks, and hardware components.
Job Description:
1. Monitor and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, firewalls, switches, and other critical components.
2. Respond promptly to IT infrastructure issues and provide technical support to end-users to resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems.
3. Assist in the design and implementation of IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, system migrations, and cloud-based solutions.
4. Conduct regular system performance and security audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities or bottlenecks.
5. Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the integration of new applications and technologies into the existing infrastructure.
6. Manage and maintain data backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity processes.
7. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications on servers and workstations.
8. Assist in the procurement of IT infrastructure equipment and software as needed.
9. Ensure compliance with security policies and implement measures to safeguard the organization's data and systems.
10. Document IT infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and knowledge-sharing purposes.
11. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to IT infrastructure management.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience in managing and supporting IT infrastructure in a professional setting.
3. Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and hardware (e.g., routers, switches).
4. Familiarity with server administration in Windows and/or Linux environments.
5. Experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical challenges.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and end-users.
8. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
9. Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are mandatory.
