JOB PURPOSE:
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled General Manager - Community Engagement to join our team at Vision India Services Pvt Ltd. As the General Manager - Community Engagement, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of 20 to 25 Job Executives. Your primary focus will be to conduct outreach programs in rural areas to identify potential candidates for international and domestic job opportunities. You will also provide counseling and guidance to candidates, develop relationships with various stakeholders, and coordinate the recruitment process. In addition, you will collaborate with internal teams to provide skilling support to candidates and maintain accurate records of candidate information.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct outreach programs:
Develop and execute strategies for conducting effective outreach programs in rural areas to identify potential candidates for international and domestic job opportunities.
Collaborate with the recruitment team to determine target areas and demographics for outreach efforts.
Organize and participate in job fairs, career counseling sessions, and other community events to promote job opportunities.
2. Candidate counseling and guidance:
Provide counseling and guidance to candidates regarding various job roles, skill requirements, and career development opportunities.
Assess candidates' skills and qualifications to determine their suitability for specific job positions.
Advise candidates on training programs and educational opportunities to enhance their employability.
3. Stakeholder relationship management:
Develop and maintain relationships with local government agencies, educational institutions, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify potential candidates and leverage their networks for candidate sourcing.
Participate in meetings and forums to stay updated on industry trends, job market demands, and skill development initiatives.
4. Skilling support and training:
Identify candidates who require additional training or skilling support to enhance their job readiness.
Collaborate with the Employment Academy of Vision India or NSDC International to provide training programs and support to candidates.
Monitor the progress of candidates undergoing training and provide guidance as needed.
5. Industry knowledge and improvement:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, job market demands, and skill requirements to enhance the effectiveness of candidate sourcing and recruitment efforts.
Conduct research and analysis to identify new sources of candidate pools and potential partnerships.
Make recommendations for process improvements and implement best practices to optimize community engagement activities.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
Proven experience (10 to 15 years) in community engagement, community Development, Mass mobilization, recruitment, or related roles.
Strong understanding of rural communities, social dynamics, and cultural sensitivities.
Ability to lead and manage a team of Job Executives effectively.
Proficiency in using recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of government programs, skill development initiatives, and job market trends.
