Key Responsibilities
Candidate should be willing to take any assigned role without any hesitation.
1. To lash / unlash Containers on board vessel under the supervision of the foreman in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Lashing Material arrangements in particular place as advised by foreman for next utilization or transportation to empty yard.
3. To attend under deck operation to put dowel on the top of container to speed up back loading time.
4. To accurately provide signal under the gantry crane for Tractor Parking Position to ground containers to avoid accidents or disruptions.
5. To arrange all Materials for loading/discharging heavy lift bulk cargo handling under the crane to assist in the smooth handling of port operations.
6. To carry out various loader activities across assigned area of operations including:

To load and unload baggage/ cargo/ mail/ courier from and to aircraft/ Unit Load Devices (ULD)/ baggage carts/ baggage belts at multiple locations across assigned area of operations (e.g. Airport Terminal incl. aerobridge and ramp or Cargo) - all in line with standards and work instructions from Team Leader or Supervisor
8. To provide a courteous service to all customers, with the physical movement of passenger baggage and trolleys or (empty) baby strollers within the airport terminal building, at various designated points, as per standards and work instructions
9. Adhere to safety practice by wearing PPE, following safety rules, and reporting safety concerns at all times
10. Ensure assigned tasks are completed on time and in an appropriate manner, maintaining minimum load rates where stated and with all safety procedures followed
11. Segregates and loads baggage/ cargo/ mail/ courier into aircraft hold/ ULD or baggage carts according to instructions by Team Leader/ Supervisor, maximising the use of space of the hold/ ULD within the safety and segregation requirements.
12. Unloads arrival or transfer baggage/ cargo / mail / courier respectfully and in correct order.
13. Ensure ULDs are locked in designated positions and aircraft holds nets are in place to avoid dead load falling during aircraft loading activities.
14. Carry Hand Held Terminal (HHT)/ PDA or other digital equipment at all times through loading activities, performing one man one scan loading practice unless heavy or oversized load where assistance should be requested.
15. Clear Foreign Object Debris (FOD) from ramp area, aircraft holds and ULD/baggage carts and report any found items.
16. Load and unload cargo at assigned areas of acceptance, delivery, build-up, break down, retrieval and racking within the Cargo Terminal/ ramp area to ensure safe and timely service to customers.
17. The loader will be expected to utilised Hand Held terminal (HHT) or other digital equipment where applicable and handle documentation as required.
18. Build up activity includes use of pallets, containers, lashing, tie downs, plastic sheets and spreaders.
19. Breakdown activity including opening pallets, removing plastic sheets, counting pieces, opening un/locking bins.
20. To assist customers with baggage movement, tagging/labelling, delivery of oversized checked-in baggage, reporting of damaged baggage to Check-in Agent, locating and moving mishandled baggage.
21. Distributing, collecting and positioning empty baby strollers from around the airport terminals and reporting any damaged strollers to Special Handling Agents.
22. To operate Luggage Wrapping Machines / token system owned by Company and ensure proper billing and cash collection as per specified guidelines.
23. Ensure availability and distribution of airline stationary and display materials as per given work instructions.
24. Provide guidance to customers as required and direct any queries to Company staff..
25. Responsible for Labour duties related, but not limited to, Marina operations within the allocated areas
26. Follow instructions from the Supervisor about the Marina operations and labor tasks requirements
27. Compliance with standards and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
28. Overtime, shift work and rotational standby as assigned.
29. Responsible to provide backup support to other Operations Laborer as directed;
30. Contributing to a positive, productive, healthy/safe and respectful work environment;
31. Fostering and modeling customer service excellence.
32. Loads and uploads materials and equipment’s as directed while safety of personnel, equipment’s and materials
33. Prepares maintains and completes accurate detail labor inspections and daily logs records for Winter and Summer maintenance activities.
34. Inspect for any damages, scratches of equipment prior to shifting
35. Ensure that the equipment are safety transferred and allocated to the specified zones and location and follow the instruction from the supervisors all the time.
Requirements
- Age : Min: 21 to Max: 35 years
- Basic English/ Hindi understanding and reading ability
- Must not have height Foiba.
- Recent (not more than 3 months old)Eye sight and Hearing test report should be available at the time of interview.
- Candidate should be physically strong and should be able to work in hot climate (Outdoor / Indoor)
- Should be able to carry 25 Kg weight.
- No history of physical surgery (bones) or current on-going medical condition.
