JOB ROLE: SENIOR FOREMAN MECHANIST
Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineer / Shipyard Training, OEM training
Experience: 5 - 10 years
Age: 23 - 45 Years
Salary: AED 4405 per month i.e. Rs. 97,772/- per month
Working Hours: 8 Hours
Language: Intermediate level of English, should be able to read, write, understand and frame basic level of sentences in English

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITY OF SENIOR FOREMAN - MECHANICAL:
Plan, assign and communicate mechanical jobs to mechanical foreman and fitters in mechanical department to meet set milestones. Lead the mechanical teams for repair work onboard and/or workshop in accordance to clients and yard requirement to deliver projects within time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Policies, Processes & Procedures:
•Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
•Follow and comply to information Security Rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties.
Day- to-day operations:
•Lead the mechanical team for all mechanical repair activities onboard on large and critical projects.
•Attend meetings and liaise with project managers and clients on day to day activity progress.
•Ensure that all work instructions, department standards and checklists are followed by the foreman and fitters.
•Request and prepare spares to assemble all parts as recommended by client and/or OEM.
•Take charge of the mechanical section in absence of mechanical supervisors.
•Attend testing, sea trial and troubleshooting as required.
•Exercise discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
•Liaise with other discipline foremen / supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
•Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor i.e. resource shortfalls, surplus, HSEQ concerns.
•Assist the supervisors in planning activities.
•Ensure that the workers are properly supplied with machineries, tools, equipment and materials and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance.
•Perform inspections to ensure that the workers performance is up to the set standards.
•Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
