I. As the General Manager – Staffing & Skill Development, you will play a crucial role in strengthening the synergy between the Staffing and Skilling business, which has been the success mantra of Vision India so far. You will bridge the gap between job seekers, particularly from rural areas in India, and the global job market through effective staffing strategies and comprehensive skill development initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass sourcing, profiling, training, assessing, and certifying job seekers, as well as providing them with global job placements and post-placement support. Additionally, you will spearhead upskilling and reskilling programs aligned with industry requirements.
II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Staffing and Synergy Strengthening:
· Develop and implement strategies to enhance the synergy between the Staffing and Skilling business of Vision India.
· Ensure seamless collaboration and alignment between the Staffing and Skilling teams to optimize the success of both functions.
· Leverage the expertise and resources of both teams to provide comprehensive support to job seekers throughout the employment journey.
2. Training and Assessment:
· Design and implement training programs to enhance the employability of job seekers, focusing on relevant skills and industry-specific knowledge.
· Assess the performance and progress of candidates during training, providing feedback and support to ensure their skill development.
· Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to measure the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements.
3. Certification and Placement:
· Establish certification processes and standards to validate the skills and competencies of job seekers.
· Collaborate with international partners and organizations to identify global job placement opportunities for qualified candidates.
4. Upskilling and Reskilling Initiatives:
· Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and evolving job market requirements.
· Develop and implement upskilling and reskilling programs to address skill gaps and emerging needs in the market.
· Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and industry experts to design and deliver relevant training modules.
V. QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Rural Development, Social Science, Marketing, HR, Business Administration, related disciplines). A Master's degree is a plus.
· Proven experience (12- 15) years in staffing, skill development, Rural Development and talent management, preferably in a global or multinational organization.
· Extensive knowledge of the global job market, especially entry-level job opportunities and trends.
· Strong understanding of rural job market dynamics in India and experience in sourcing candidates from rural areas.
· Experience in conducting job profiling, assessments, and certifications.
