A. Overview of the position
The Senior Executive – Sales will be responsible for operationalizing SRL’s marketing and sales strategies. He/ She will be responsible for identifying prospects and converting such leads, under the guidance and in consultation with the Managing Partner. He/ She will coordinate at the tactical and operational levels, with the other functions of SRL Trading Company (SRL).
B. Qualification
o Additional (preferred): Diploma in Marketing
C. Experience and Skills
o The position requires 2 to 3 years of experience in marketing/ sale in the ‘Medical’ sector. Experience in selling medical diagnostic devices will be preferred.
o Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills.
o Excellent negotiation skills and basic understanding of commercial terms, pertaining to the trade.
o Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, data base management and other tools.
o Commitment to work with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
o Strong oral and written communications skills.
o Openness to travel, to meet internal and external business demands.
D. Working Relationship
The position reports to the Managing Partner and serves as a member of the operational team. It also has working relationship with other cross-functional teams.
E. Key Responsibilities
o Identify and generate new business opportunities, considering the portfolio of products (primarily medical diagnostic devices) of SRL;
o Assist in operationalizing the marketing and sales strategies of SRL, under the guidance and supervision of the Managing Partner;
o Responsible for ensuring achievement of annual targets for ‘order booking’ and ‘revenue’;
o Accountable for timely preparation and submission of qualitative responses to enquiries/ bids/ offers;
o Oversee order fulfillment and ensure timeliness of deliverables, in collaboration with the Supply Chain Function;
o Develop and maintain quality relationship with the customers;
o Undertake periodic and planned customer visits, to recommend solutions (i.e. products and/ or services), under the guidance and supervision of the Managing Partner;
o Responsible for obtaining periodic feedback from customers and transmitting the feedback to the Managing Partner;
o Monitor receivables and ensure timely collection of payments from customers;
o Responsible for resolving customer complaints, under the guidance of the Managing Partner;
o Ensure timely generation and submission of Management Reports;
o Maintain database of prospects, customers and products;
o Assist in the development and utilization of marketing material, including website, social media pages, print material and other digital marketing media.
F. Other Responsibilities
o Coordinate and collaborate with other functional departments, to facilitate meeting of business objectives;
o Support and ensure implementation of initiatives taken by the management;
o Ensure adherence to SRL’s policies and procedures, including timely update of various Trackers, pertaining to leads, enquiries and requests for quotations, etc.;
o Ensure that the costs, such as travelling, communication and business development, etc. are controlled and minimized, for effective utilization of the Company’s resources;
o Ensure that the Company’s properties and assets are safeguarded;
o Ensure maintenance of workplace health and safety requirements.
